Another week, another chance for EDM DJs and producers to release new content! This week, there were so many announcements and surprises within the EDM community, it was hard to keep track. Here’s Banging’s recap to help:

5. Zedd’s Not the Only One in the Park

This past weekend, Zedd surprised fans at a one-day event “Zedd In The Park” that took place in Los Angeles on the fourth of July by bringing The Chainsmokers along to perform. The event was presented by Insomiac and took place at the L.A. Historic Park, with several food and beverage selections available, including a booth called ‘Zedd’s Tacos’.

4. David Guetta Announces New Album

After great success with his latest release “Flames” featuring Sia (also note: the duo behind the iconic “Titanium” track), David Guetta announced that he’ll release his next studio album after the summer. In a Billboard exclusive with Billboard Radio China, he gushed about his friendship with Sia and expressed his excitement for the new album.

3. Martin Garrix Announces 2018 World Tour

Without so much as an EP or album release, Martin Garrix announces a fully fleshed world tour this summer 2018. The tour features thirty-six stops, though Garrix will be in North America for only four days out of the tour, with one show in Los Vegas and three shows in Canada.

2. Is Big Room Dead?

According to Hardwell’s new album “Big Room Never Dies” in collaboration with Blasterjaxx, never. Earlier today, Hardwell tweeted “Who’s ready for new music?” and offered fans the option to pre-save soon to be released the track.


Finally, Deadmau5 revealed his new EP “Mau5ville: Level 1” earlier today. The EP will feature eight unreleased tracks and remixes featuring Rob Swire, Getter, GTA, and more. iTunes lists the expected release date as July 13, 2018.
